Since the beginning of the 2018-19 season, EU sugar exports - all types - have dropped 39.8% totaling 1,002,083 t by the end of February 2019.

Meanwhile, FOB export sugar price are on the rise averaging 346 EUR/t in January and February 2019 against 321 EUR/t in December 2018.  

From a geographical point of view  Israel and Egypt remain the 2 major destinations for European sugar followed by Norway, Saudi Arabia and Ghana.
