The Australian industry achieved a crush tally of 1.34 mln tonnes in week 21 and 1.40 mln tonnes in week 22 (week ending 31 October). The cane crush is now more than 80% complete. Some regions are more advanced. The Burdekin mills for instance now have crush-out firmly in their sights: 3 mills by 10th November and the fourth by 21st November with more than 90% of the cane crop harvested and crushed.
